Leaning…do you ever need to?

Charlie Bear 1

Charlie Bear here. Do you ever miss something? Like you get so busy that something slips by you? Do you ever feel behind?

Mom Peep says it happens to her a lot. Me…not so much. I do the same things every day and I surely don’t miss a meal, or a nap, or a snuggle in Dad Peep’s lap.

So when these things happen, and she misses something important, she leans.

Like this…see how the flowers are leaning one way?

Tulip 1

And then how they are leaning the other way?

Tulip 2

We know why they do that, right? It’s the sun. The beautiful tulips lean toward the bright comforting light, the sustaining warmth that caresses them. Every day Mom Peep spins the tulips around. (She’s worried they’ll lean right on over and touch the table top! I said no, but she doesn’t listen.) Then every day the tulips lean toward the light again.

I think they’re onto something. Do you ever feel the need to lean? Mom Peep has learned that leaning on another’s shoulder for warmth, asking for comfort, a listening ear, helps her SO much.

Do you ever do that too?

Charlie Bear

Precious. I’ve thought about this, too, with the tulips on our table. Makes me think of how we can lean into the light of the Lord. What a beautiful thing! Love to you both, dear Mom Peep and Charlie.

So true, Shawnelle, they are leaning into the light of the Lord. Mom Peep doesn’t always say what she really means. She likes the subtle, hidden, inner meanings that people find for themselves, just like you did! Hooray! It truly is a beautiful thing.

Awwww… yes, definitely I lean on people I love and trust, like you and family (most of them :)) and Charlie Bear, you made me smile with your everyday routine–you definitely DO have a dog’s life, and that’s GOOD! Hugs and love to you both–lean on you for insight every week. Thanks.

      Jean,
My routine is so, well, routine! And I love it that way. Mom Peep loves variety. She says it’s the seasoning sauce of life!

Charlie Bear, this might just be my all-time favorite post! The flowers are leaning toward the sun!! Yes, yes, yes!

    And so are we.

And sometimes we even rest for a while, leaning into each other.

Tell Mom Peep how much I love her. And this post. And you too! You bring help to so many. Both two-legged and four-legged. 🙂

      Julie,
Mom Peep loves you too. Leaning is something she thinks all people should do more often. It helps to relieve the burden. And lighten the load.
      Wiggles to you,
