Happy Birthday to…..

Mom Peep!
Charlie Bear here. She turned (ahem….) I can’t say. But she told me she’s happier than ever, and that’s what’s important, right?
She got these:
And she went to a hockey game:
And she told me she thinks I’m the best present ever. I came to live here three years ago at this time of the year so Mom Peep considers me a birthday gift every time. I’ll go along with that!

Happy belated birthday BJ & a good anniversary to you CB. My peep mom has a birthday next week(30th.) and she feels like she is getting to old to cut the mustard but can still cut h**k out of the collards; she will be 87 not ashamed or scared to tell hers for she is at the age to be proud of each one she is still living to see. Out of 1 set of parents and 10 siblings she has outlived them all but 1 brother and he was 90 when he passed away so do not know if she will pass him or not, time will tell that one. I came to this or my forever home on a Monday before Thanksgiving in the year 2008, so think that will be 5 yrs. here, have I got you beat a little bit? Give your mom peep a lots of kisses, licks & slobbers for us now, CB.

Yup, you’ve got me beat on five years in your forever home. Good for you and good for our Mom Peeps….especially yours who is 87 and still cutting the mustard. Or whatever that saying is. lol
Mom Peep is sorry your Mom has lost all her siblings, but like me with losing Rex, my buddy, I know I’ll see him again over The Rainbow Bridge in heaven.

Happy belated birthday B.J. I am glad you enjoyed it. May you have many more happy birthdays, after all; Birthday’s are good for you, he (or she) has the most birthdays lives the longest. I don’t remember who said this first otherwise I would give that person the credit for it.

Wow, Charlie Bear!
Tell your Mom Peep a great big Happy Birtday from me, Kenzie, Piper, Abby and Mikka and our Mom Peep! And guess what? Our Mom Peep’s birthday is tomorrow! And if that isn’t enough coincidence, my Mom Peep adopted me three years ago this month, too! We are such lucky pups to have found our forever homes. Not all dogs are as lucky as we are. But sometimes things just work out, don’t they?
When my Mom Peep went to church last Sunday, there was a poor, skinny dog sitting on the steps of her little country church. Mom Peep said they think she was abandoned there because people had seen her near there for the last week. She looked like a boxer mix. She was awfully hungry and thirsty so the the church members found some hotdogs in the refrigerator and fed her and gave her some water. One of the ladies there is involved in greyhound rescue and she had the number of the local rescue association. They called them to come and pick this poor girl up before something bad happened to her. But guess what! Before they got there, one of the other ladies at the church had contacted her son in Texas who had been thinking about adopting a dog. She sent him pictures and told him what a sweet, well-mannered girl this was. He agreed to take her. The lady took her to the vet the next day and got a clean bill of health on her. She and my Mom Peep contacted all the local rescues and pounds to see if anyone had reported her missing, but no one had and she wasn’t microchipped. So after a week of trying to find her owner to no avail, she left to go to Texas to her new home. And now she has a forever home, too! They named her Gracie since she was found and the church and it seemed to fit.
So now Gracie is an October rescue dog just like us! Woofs and wiggles to you and all the other rescue dogs out there!

How ultra cool is that! Our Mom Peeps have birthdays right next to each other and you and me were adopted right around the same time. Awesomeness! But ultra cool is that beautiful dog who is now named Gracie and who will have a wonderful home in Texas. Ahhh…the power of a network of dog lovers. May everyone love us dogs as much as we love all of them.
