Do you do this…?

Charlie Bear 1

Charlie Bear here.

Mom Peep does something kinda cool. She flies to Wisconsin for a family reunion every year where she gets to see her Great-Granddaughter, Aubree:

Aubree and frosting

and all the gang.

Dells May 2014 (56)

She comes back filled up with love and hugs and laughter and even sometimes tears. They have a close-knit family and they rely upon each other. Me? I’m a roamer and a rover and a free spirit. I was found running around the streets of Los Angeles.

I envy the love Mom Peep has with family. Oh, sure, as dogs you wouldn’t think we’d crave family ties, and since I never knew my “parents” I can’t really miss them. What I have now is good, really good. Dad Peep loves me. Mom Peep loves me. I have all I need right here. Maybe you’ve had to turn away from something not so good and now you’ve found something great?

I understand what Mom Peep goes after when she goes away. Do you? Do you have a place where you prepare meals together, sit around and chat, play card games or hide ‘n seek?

Share where you might be going this year, or whether those loved ones are right around the corner and you see them all the time.

Tell us what makes you happy deep down inside.

Wiggles and Woofs,
Charlie Bear

CB & BJ, I came back from a visit to my oldest grand daughter & family in a small town near you, I think, Wymier I think it is spelled if wrong it is near San Diageo, Ca. (exc. spelling on all) I saw a lot of pretty places and things. Best of all I saw a great grand a girl who will be 2 yrs. old in June and a boy who was 4 in Jan. I had not seen him since he was almost 2. So that is too long to not see them all. They have 2 more boys ages, almost 14 & 11. Had a marvelous time and hated to leave. Also visited in Arizona for 3 days, then drove back(no, I did not drive any, my son & daughter in law did the driving.) We left AZ. on Mon morn and got into Ga. & home on Thurs. tired but had a good trip home, it took us 1 day to drive across Texas. Golly thats a huge State. Saw many pretty sights. I probably wont ever get to go back there again, certainly not to ride auto. Aubree is such a doll as is our Naomi… Take Care; CB & BJ.

    Woofs & Wags,
    Alice & Beaugie…

      Alice and Beaugie,
What a wonderful trip! Wonderful memories! Wonderful sights! These are things we can see in our mind and relive whenever we want to. So happy you had the chance to see all of the children.

Our loved ones are close by and we have been so thankful for that, but Lonny and I take our brood of boys to a cabin in Michigan every year. Oh, that place holds memories for us. But B.J., that picture is just so adorable!

      Shawnelle,
I bet I would love to romp among a brood of boys (or girls). We’d have such wiggly fun!
Woofs to you and the brood,

Aubree–look at her! She makes me smile! Look at those gorgeous eyes–so much like your Mom Peep’s. 🙂 🙂

My loved ones are nearby, and most of us talk daily, but we don’t see each other but every few months. I’m grateful for our daily conversations!

      Julie,
Nearby family is so cool! You can hug and love ’em up often. Mom Peep says thanks for the compliment on Aubree. Mom Peep adores her and can’t stop using the word “adorable” whenever she describes Aubree!
