Almost all healed…thanks to…

Me! Me! Charlie Bear here…and I say Mom Peep’s healed elbow is because of me!

me with splint 003

Yup, it was me who snuggled, nuzzled, and licked her back to health.

Okay, maybe Dad Peep’s advice to take extra calcium to promote bone healing, and the people at the office who helped Mom Peep so she didn’t do too much work with that right arm, and the exercises the doctor gave her helped too.

She broke the elbow on March 6. Six weeks later, Mom visited the ortho doc. He took x-rays and the bone is all healed! He told Mom it takes a long time to heal the muscles and tendons from the wrist all the way up to the shoulder because they were traumatized in the fall, but she was doing good. He said she has 10% more mobility to gain back in relation to the arm extension but it’s coming along.

So that’s fabulous news. And I’m so happy for her. She can do pretty much all the stuff she did before (brushing her hair, reaching above her head), and she’s hoping she’ll be able to work in one more thing this summer:

B.J. Golf Swing After

She wants to get back to golfing (this is a picture of her from a few years ago). Then she says she’ll be really happy and physically back to normal. (Whatever normal is!).

Wiggles and Woofs to you,
Charlie Bear

Yeah!! Charlie Bear, glad peep mom is almost ‘all healed’, hope she gets all healed soon and glad you were a “Good Boy” and got her back in shape but hang on a little longer and don’t let her have any more happenings to mess her up again; know she does not want that either. Wiggles & Waggles to you.

      Beaugie,
Yup, she’s coming along pretty great. I’m super proud of myself for nursing her back to health…lol.
I’ll watch her closely from now on. No more tripping, no more falling, no more broken things!

Charlie Bear, you are sooo important to your Mom Peep. I know every single day she’s grateful that you found each other. 🙂 And her golf swing looks beautiful. Just like she is!

      Julie,
Mom Peep is blushing right now. She’s super grateful she found me, yes, but I’m even MORE grateful than she is. I could still be out on the streets! Yikes!

What wonderful news, BJ! Charlie Bear, you did a great job! Hope the pain is all gone and you’re doing more each day friend. A visit to “our place” soon? I hope…

      Jean,
Mom says the pain isn’t too bad…just muscles and tendons hurt but she’s much better. Thank you!
She says that she’s working lots of hours (another big story) but hopes to lighten up sometime next month and wants to visit at “our place” with you soon too!
      Hugs and Wiggles,

      Susan,
Mom wants to know what tennis elbow is. Is that like a deep hurt from using it too much? Thanks for the yippee and hurrah for Mom. I’m happy too!

Yes, Charlie Bear, that is exactly what it is—pain from over-use of the elbow.

        Susan,
Wow…Mom has to watch it then. She doesn’t golf a whole lot. She’s lucky to get in one game or maybe two a month. So I hope she’ll be good and not get tennis/golf elbow! Thanks for the advice.
        Woofs to you,
