What Happens When You Are…

Charlie Bear here with a question for you.

What happens when you are…..

juggling balls

juggling lots of things at one time? That’s my Mom Peep’s problem. And sometimes, mine too.

frazzled woman

There’s walking me (the resident dog, lol), housework, laundry, groceries, meals, sleep, work. For me, I have to eat, play with my turtle, or maybe the green banana, or even the squeaky frog. Then there’s my daily nap, or do I run around the yard for a while? And what about a walk with Dad? So many balls in the air!

exploding ball

How do we figure out what to do and what not to do? Will my turtle feel lonely if I don’t play with him? What if Mom Peep drops a ball and it smashes and cracks?

Mom Peep is a pretty good juggler, but I tell her that sometimes she has to let go of some balls. If she has a deadline then she has to have only that one ball in the air at that time. And the priority ball changes, doesn’t it? What can be most important one week becomes less important when the deadline is met.

I feel that way about my toys. Some can wait to be played with, and some need my mouthy attention right away.

How do YOU prioritize? What’s your juggling secret?

Wiggles and Woofs,
Charlie Bear

Charlie Bear, you’re so wise. So many times, I’ve gotten myself into trouble trying to do too many things at once. I’ll stress and obsess. Not good. I’m learning from you, sweet boy. Thank you!

      Julie,
I’m learning, too! I think it takes a lifetime to learn things…sometimes over and over and over again. But I’ll get it, right?

    Hi Charlie B;

Not much here right now to prioritize around here but trying to stay warm and not let the electricity bill go un-paid and gas for fireplace give out. It surely has been cold around these parts. Did you see on the news how cold it was in Atlanta, Ga? I have some grand & great grans up there and I pray that they stay warm and safe. Not that cold herebouts but afraid if I cry my tears would turn to ice it feels like. lol. You just continue to keep all your Ducks(toys) in a row so when you want a certain one you can easily find it. You tell your MoM peep she is the best, almost as good as mine; you think she is best anyway. Take care CB, and don’t get too frisky running around.

      Beaugie,
I feel for you in the cold. Try to stay as warm as you can and don’t cry icicles! I’m helping Mom to tackle those balls of hers and to remember me, too, and what I do. She loves me, that I know, because today I sat up on her lap for a very long time while she worked with her arms around me and her hands on the keyboard. Quite a trooper that Mom Peep!

hi charlie bear, not too much on my plate but do lots of bible study. try to do that first but I procrastinate. my cat gigi sends meows and puuurrrs, and wants to know if you want flying lessons. I want to read your story but have low vision and no book reader. please ask mom peep to give national library service for the blind permission to record charlie bear. not many blind humans buy from amizon. gigi thinks you should play with at least 2 toys at a time; she tries to when she’s not tangled in yarn. kim

      Kim and Gigi,
I never thought of playing with two toys at a time! I bring them out of my basket and deposit them in a heap sometimes, but two at once? Oh, my gosh. How exciting to think about that.

I will have Mom Peep look into the National Library Service to record the Charlie Bear book. She’s never thought of that either!
      Wiggles to you,
      Charlie Bear
