What do you do when you are SOOO sad?

Christmas 2012 (31)

Charlie Bear here again. Mom Peep can’t talk. She can’t even think. She did tell me to thank each and every one of you for your prayers for little baby Hailey, Mom Peep’s Great-Grandchild. So much can happen in one day. And it did.

Baby Hailey seemed kind of okay yesterday morning. She was fighting really hard. But then her little body took a really bad turn. Her vital organs began to shut down, she had swelling in her brain and the doctors told her mommy and daddy that she had irreversible brain damage. Baby Hailey had been on life support, fighting for almost a week, and now her body had given out.

The whole family was distraught last night. Hailey was released to heaven to be home with God and his angels. I’ve never seen Mom Peep so very sad. Her eyes were swollen almost shut from crying and she curled up in bed in a ball. I don’t know how to comfort her except to lay in her lap or curl up next to her.

When she got up this morning she booked a flight up there. She can’t wait to hold her loved ones close and hug them extra tight. I think that’s a good idea, don’t you? I even pulled her Ugg boots out of the closet and told her to wear them this time to stay warm.

Mom Peep has lost many loved ones, but Baby Hailey was so tiny with so much life to live. Only God knows why she was called home to heaven so early, like all the precious little ones before her. I’m going to give Mom Peep extra snuggles today and lick her face before she leaves tomorrow. We hope you hold your loved ones extra close as well.

Wiggles and Woofs,
Charlie Bear

Any suggestions for Mom? Do you ever have to take it One Day at a Time?

God Bless you in your time or sorrow. There are no words that can make this all better for you except to know that your baby is in a much better place and is well taken care of. It’s the ones left behind that suffer so and nothing but time and understanding will heal you. God bless.

BJ, I’m so saddened to read of Hailey’s homegoing. I hope Charlie gives you lots of sloppy kisses before you leave tomorrow; and pray that God will surround and comfort you and your family in this difficult time. Hold each other tight.

      Carol,
Little Hailey did go home, as we all will someday…she just went sooner than expected. Charlie has given me some sloppy kisses already and God is surrounding us with love.
      Thank you,

Bj, my heart just aches for you, I know how you feel for I too have lost loved ones. I had to shed a few tears for you and yours, go and get all the hugs you can while there. God needed another Angle and he chose Hailey to brighten up a corner of his Heaven. You will grieve as you should, but know she will be in a safe and wonderful place there with Jesus and all his large and small Angels as well as all the loved ones already gone on, I will be praying for you to have a safe trip to Wisconsin and God to give you strength in the trying days ahead.

What beautiful thoughts, thank you so much. I never thought of large and small angels…always considered them the same size! Now, I know better!
      Hugs to you,

      Marilyn,
Being together is just what Mom Peep needs. She feels so very far away and needs those hugs both to and from her loved ones. For her, family is what it’s all about. Thank you for your prayers.

I’m am so deeply sorry to hear about your precious, little angel, Hailey. I have been praying for you and your family ever since I ready your last post. Yes, you definitely had a very difficult year with so many losses!

It is amazing how much comfort our fur babies offer when they know that we are sad or upset. They can teach us so much about love and compassion.
