Homeward Bound

We’re in the home stretch. We’re almost there.
Come on in, New Year! We’re ready, right?
I’m flying cross country today from Wisconsin, where I spent the past five days with family, to California, where more loved ones await. Wisconsin was cold, snowy, wet, rainy, but filled with family love. I was here for my mom’s funeral and found an abundance of tears, much laughter, and the familiar ties of blood relatives that run impenetrably deep.
I’m homeward bound, ready to put this past year behind me, and eager to start fresh in 2011. This new year will descend upon us whether we’re ready or not, so prepare to meet it with a hearty appetite for life, a plan to move forward on your goals, and a bountiful love for family and friends.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
B.J., Rex, and Charlie Bear (who’ll be back next week with more of the saga of his LBA (Life Before Adoption).

Oh, B.J., I am so, so sorry. Bundle up to keep warm, sip a cup of chicken soup because that’s what Mom would say, and know you are so greatly loved. Blessed New Year!
Love, Kay
